			<description><![CDATA[ We've been hit by a storm. This time, it's done major damage. Here's what I've just posted at Kiwi Clan.<br><br>Auckland City is in chaos. (Well, more chaos than usual). The power blackout is continuing, expected to last until mid-afternoon at th' earliest. I'm hoping my power stays on.<br><br>But the City Council say the power to waste water pumps is off, so we're told to flush toilets only if absolutely necessary. 			<description><![CDATA[ Andrea was a bit concerned and posted to Kiwi Clan, so I thought I'd better post this here as well.<br><br>Raoul Island, which has just erupted, is 1000 km to the north-east of NZ. Well away from the country's mainland and any major centres. I can't find a map online at the moment to show you, but I'm sure Google will help you out. There is no danger to NZ from this volcano -- other than it's part of the Ring of Fire having a bit of a tantrum. Tragic, tho', that it has claimed the life of one... ]]></description>
